Project MARS was the 2025-2026 primary rocket project. It was also SEDS@UCF's first attempt at 2-stage rocketry, in order to fill knowledge gaps identified by project 39-B. The rocket would feature a continuation of Phoenix 2's live video system as it's primary payload.
The original plan was to launch two vehicles: one at SRA in Palm bay, FL, and another at FAR in the Mojave. Due to budget and time constraints, this was reduced to a single launch in SRA. As of June 2026, this has been continuously delayed due to burn bans present in Palm Bay. The launch has since been slated for September of this year.
